Our location in Hofgeismar is part of the “Reinhardswald Wonderland” holiday region. Situated in north Hessen, the nature in the border triangle of Hessen, Lower Saxony and Thuringia offers a number of unique opportunities for sport, leisure and culture. The Hessian metropolis of Kassel is just 30 km to the south.
Hofgeismar
Hofgeismar’s old town has many wonderful half-timbered buildings dating from the 14th to the 19th century. Fans of historic sights are guaranteed to be in their element as they walk from the historic town hall through the Kirchgasse to the Old Town Church.
Schlösschen Schönburg
The small castle of Schönburg was built at the end of the 19th century for the later Wilhelm I, Elector of Hesse-Kassel. Today it is located at the edge of Hofgeismar and is part of the Gesundbrunnen Park.
Brunnentempel
The Brunnentempel or spring temple recalls Hofgeismar’s time as a spa town in the 18th and 19th centuries. Today the source is covered by the pavilion-shaped spring temple. Freshly renovated in 2012, the building is basking in renewed splendour.
